More information about those: Thank you for the link Got it working now. Just to be safe, I put in a fresh BIOS file, checked. 1 notradaem 1:03pm Originally posted by Fili: Bios files are needed. I loaded the core to check that the BIOS file was being recognised and I found that it was. All I get is the Failed to Load Contents message. Try running a FDS game with FCEUmm/Mesen/Nestopia.Īlready happening in 1.7.5 stable. However, I installed 1.7.3 (taken from the Download page) and copied over my System folder containing my BIOS files but no Saturn game loads.Start RA and change "System/BIOS" path to that folder.Create a "à" folder anywhere you want and put "disksys.rom" in it."Failed to load content" with absolutely no hint on why it's failing. Should load content, no matter which characters are used in the path. It does NOT affect every cores, for example Beetle PSX just doesn't care and loads games properly no matter what. i don't see a bio folder 2 NessandSonic 11. i already have every bios for every system (saved them all when doing my raspberry pi) my question is, were do i put them. Here's a log from someone on Reddit having issue with FDS: Īnd 2 others from this person on Reddit too: (PicoDrive) and (DeSmuME) 2021 um 11:08 Ursprnglich geschrieben von NessandSonic: Sega CD emulation uses system BIOS, but I am not allowed to tell you where to get those. PicoDrive: fails to load content (Sega CD games) if any of the rom or BIOS have special characters in their path.įor zipped roms, if you have a cache folder set in RA settings without special characters, they will load fine.DeSmuME: fails to load roms with special characters in path, with "use real BIOS" and "boot to BIOS" options ON (and yes, in "interpreter" mode) it just ignores the real BIOS and boot straight to the game.FCEUmm, Mesen and Nestopia: special characters in rom path seem to be OK, but not in system folder path (for "disksys.rom" for FDS games for example).or Chinese, Japanese, Russian, etc.) in your path for roms or system folder, some cores will fail to load content, so far I noticed the issue with these cores: If you have special characters (àçéè, etc. I actually put all BIOS Files (E, U and J) in the RetroArch system folder. Youre going to have to track down a different BIOS file. The problem might be a Windows only thing, I tried on my Linux VM and my Android phone, no issue. Scroll down here to see the different BIOS files that Genesis Plus GX uses. Maybe someone knows about this issue for cores that I haven't mentioned.īut if that's not OK, I'll copy/paste an issue in each repo I guess.Their documentation pages are here: and here BIOS files go into the ‘system’ directory. I'm not sure if this is a core issue or if it's part of the RA "main code". hunterk 4 February 2018 04:07 2 Either Genesis Plus GX or Picodrive.More context: I get the same error messages on Retroarch for PC so its not a retroid specific problem.ĮDIT 2: I got fed up and purchased a different emulator on the app store which is running the game without any issues, so the ROM is fine. It might be a file size thing as they are both around 400MB, so far the ROMs that have worked on Retroarch are small files. cue file it opens much more quickly than loading the archive, but then I get "failed to load content" when I try to open the either Genesis Plus GX or PicodriveĮDIT: I tried running Shinobi for Sega Saturn and this also causes it to crash. In the home tab select Load Content > /Storage/Emulated/0. These seem to be all the fixes other people have reported but for me retroarch takes ages to load the content, then crashes when it tries to load the core. Gamecube games ain Problems running PC Engine/Turbo-CD games even with BIOS RetroArch Won RetroArch WHDload won Pokmon SoulSilver/HeartGold Won RetroArch. And keep in mind that Sega CD/TurboGrafx-CD games require some extra steps. The directory on retroarch is pointing directly to the bios. The Sega CD is BIN/CUE format and I have the bios named correctly in "system" both on internal storage and on the SD card just in case. Other cores are working fine on Retroarch but opening a Sega CD causes it to crash.
